About Daniel Hancock, RN

Welcome to The Student Nurse. My name is Daniel Hancock, and I have been nursing on the frontline for the past 8 years. I have worked primarily on a busy acute diabetes and endocrinology ward, living the fast-paced, high-acuity realities of NHS inpatient care. I now hold a dual role as a Registered Nurse and Inpatient Diabetes Specialist Nurse, deepening my clinical impact and supporting colleagues and students across the ward.

Teaching has always been what drives me. I built this site because students were asking for more than ward rounds and lectures could give — honest, grounded, real-world guidance. Every page, guide, and case study here comes from listening to what students actually told me they needed. Nothing was decided in isolation; it was shaped by you.
